TEACHERS' DAY SPEECH
---
This is for those who missed the SPEECH spoke by WeiJian this morning.
Firstly, a big THANK YOU to all teachers who have taught us since Secondary 3. Your guidance and tolerance is greatly admired. I am sure that we may be juvenile and immature at times but HEY, you teachers are able to see another side of us. You teachers are more like a friend to us, sensing our emotional changes and giving advices on our problems. We may have given lots of problems to you but we know how to learn from our mistakes and move on.
Ms Siew, you have been our form teacher as well as our Geography teacher for 3 years and you know us inside out the most. Ms Siew, we may be mischievous at times but I am sure it is for entertainment purposes. We may not be the best class with the best class spirit but I reckoned we had done you proud for the ' Recycled Costume Design Competition ' this year! When you mentioned about your birthday a few weeks back, the entire class decided to come up with a mini celebration held in the school canteen. When we handed you your present, a 'Hello Kitty' Cushion, that was the most flashing smile that you showed. Thank You for your hardwork and effort as well as making Geography lessons interesting.
Mdm Khong and Mdm Salbiah, I guessed we have done you proud for this year's O level Mother Tongue Examinations. We may not score as well as other classes, I am sure that your patience with us is worthwhile. Now that to some of us, we are already missing your stories and lessons, these fruitful memories will remain positive on our minds.
Ms Koh, before the June holidays, you said that you were leaving for Nepal to experience something different in your life. Everyone in our class knew that you were more than a teacher to us, encouranging and motivating throughout the class tests and mock exams. Not forgetting Mr Bala, the awesome Math teacher who have been giving both the boys and the girls revision after revision. On the overall, both teachers are very tolerant and patient with us. That's a good sign.
Mr Pan, the ever smiling Physics teacher who never fails to make us smile. For once, lab practicals are always successful because of you. In order to make us understand, you didn't mind to stay till 6pm just to let us understand.
Ms Wang, you took the effort to make us stay back for lab practicals till late afternoon just to try out the experiments. I am sure practice makes perfect. With all these practical sessions, it made us understand and perform for our practical exams in October. Your 'again' and 'repeat' will be greatly missed.
Mdm Chan MP, you have been a wonderful teacher to everyone of us. Your lessons are the most interesting, not forgetting the stories you used to till everyone before the period ends. After every story, it made us know much better. It may not be useful in our Social Studies text but it allowed to have endless discussions and queries about it.
Mrs Tai, we have made you infuriated at times but I am sure you do not want to give us up. Giving us 20 over sets of MCQs to look through and your written explanations by the side, it guided us when we needed them.
Ms Toh, we may not be your favourite class but what you have gone through with us like the formats over and over with us will be of utmost impotance for our O levels. Having mock papers on every Monday had already become a routune to us. We may not do well but with more practices to come, I am sure that we will do well.
Mr Teo, thank you for making PE lessons enjoyable and fun. You are best teacher for 5A1.
Once again to all teachers, a very Happy Teachers Day!
With Love,
